History Of The Online Beat Maker (It’s a short one)In the past the idea of using an online beat maker to produce hip hop beats, rap beats or really any kind of electronic music was considered… Well, Lame. In the world of audio and music production, like most things, there is and always will be a huge emphasis on quality. From microphones that cost tens of thousands of dollars to Million dollar studios… the top artists, producers and record labels have traditionally spent countless amounts of time, money and energy attempting to get the highest quality recording possible.So when an online beat maker program comes along and provides you with low quality sounds to make beats with you are immediately at a disadvantage. Online beat makers used to only give you crappy, unprofessional .mp3 sounds to make music with but not anymore!Think about this for a moment… You make a decent little beat with your online beat maker and want to try and sell it to a potential client you met on the internet. This person likes your beat and wants to record some lyrics over it. You give (sell) him your beat in .mp3 format, they record over it and want to bounce (save) the new version (beat and lyrics) to upload to Soundclick, iTunes or some other music related site. The problem here is that they have just made a second-generation .mp3 file to distribute. By doing this they have lost even more overall sound quality from the already low quality file. Basically, now losing even more dynamics, presence, loudness, etc…
